Grow Your Hair With Patience and Consistency

Gaining weight or developing health issues usually happen overtime. Whether it's due to an unhealthy diet, pregnancy, illness, medication or lack of exercise, gaining weight doesn't generally happen overnight and neither does heart disease or diabetes. When we decide to lose weight, unfortunately it doesn't just fall off and when we want to take control of our health issues, they don't just disappear. Even if we change our diets and exercise, (depending on how much we gained), it usually takes significant time and effort to get back to a healthy weight or state of well-being. Keeping this in mind; think about your body wave hair follicles. Think about the years and years of feeding it an unhealthy diet of toxic ingredients such as mineral oil, paraffin, petrolatum, sulfates, parabens, etc. Think of the chemicals in relaxers, dyes, shampoos and moisturizers we have fed our follicles, some of us for 20-30 years or more! What about all of the tugging with combing and brushing, or the heat when blow drying or curling. For some of us, there's a wonder we have any hair at all.

Remember that beautiful, thick head of brazilian hair you had when you were younger; maybe it was thicker just last year! Then when looking at old pictures or styling your hair you notice it's thinner, fragile, or just seems shorter than you remembered? Much like looking back at the pictures when you were three sizes smaller, you may not be able to pinpoint one thing that caused it, but it's very likely that the lack of a healthy diet had something, if not everything to do with it.

If your hair is damaged; growing thinner, drier or fragile, chances are the scalp or follicles aren't as healthy as they once were. Constant "abuse" or "neglect" may have caused your follicles to retard; to produce weaker strands and decelerate growth. The severity of the damage determines the intensity of the treatment; extreme cases may need consistent, long-term TLC; using the "Super hair grow" moisturizer for a week, probably won't work. And, if the moisturizer contains the common hazardous ingredients listed above, it may be causing further damage. Chemical and traction alopecia (hair loss and thinning due to pulling the hair too tightly or using chemicals) may take an extended amount of time and effort to reverse, but I am a witness with a testimony that says consistent TLC can make a world of difference.

If your follicles are severely damaged and you are in a battle to restore them, it may take months before any progress is noticed. Your follicles may need to heal and rejuvenate before there is a noticeable difference in the strands. Think of someone with insulin dependent diabetes; if they change their diet and follow all of their doctor's instructions, it still takes time before insulin can be reduced; it may take many years before a person no longer has to depend on insulin (if ever). Regardless of how long it takes to see results, you know that a nutrient rich diet and developing healthy habits will render better results than that of preservatives, parabens, fats, sulfates, sodium, mineral oil, sugar, or petrolatum! So be patient with your follicles make sure you are consistent with providing a nutritious diet so that your follicles have a chance to heal, rejuvenate and thrive!

Even if you get frustrated and decide to wear a human hair wig or weave; go ahead, but make sure you are still caring for your hair under them!
